Individual Counseling
If we give it time, life will overwhelm us. We all need a space where our story is honored, our emotions welcomed, and our strengths can be rediscovered.
My belief is that therapy should help you connect more to yourself, God, and others.
Whether you’re navigating trauma or wrestling with transitions, individual counseling gives you the space you need to rest and recover for whatever life throws at you.

Couples Counseling
Relationships can be both our greatest source of joy and our deepest place of struggle. In couples counseling, I help partners slow down, hear each other, and reconnect with the reasons they chose one another in the first place.
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) - a proven approach designed specifically for couples - we’ll work to break cycles of conflict and build patterns of intimacy and trust. Whether you’re newly together or have seen a lot of years together, couples work creates space for a stronger partnership to grow.

Group Counseling
There is power in knowing you’re not alone. Group counseling provides a supportive, guided environment where you can share your story, connect with others who understand, and discover new perspectives.
Each group is designed to cultivate community, reflection, and encouragement while giving you practical tools to grow.
Depending on your focus, group counseling can be a place to learn from others while being reminded that your voice matters.

Hey, my name’s Jake.
In the last twenty years I’ve been a songwriter, traveling performing artist, tour manager, sales and marketing professional, and now a counselor. I know what it feels like to chase big dreams, and I also know the pain of watching some of those dreams not turn out the way you had hoped.
I’ve experienced firsthand how trauma impacts not only the body, but also a marriage, friendships, and especially a relationship with God. My own story has taught me about grief, resilience, and hope — and more importantly, it’s given me a passion for walking with others who are navigating grief, loss, and transition.
If you’re a researcher and have already googled some counseling terminology, you’ll find that I’m person-centered, emotionally focused, and narrative-based. Said more simply, my goal is to create a safe space where you can connect with yourself, know your story, and find the strength and resilience you need to keep going.

FAQs
What is your rate?
$150.00 / 50-minute session.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
This is such a great question! There’s no set timeline for therapy—it really depends on what you’re walking through and what you hope to get out of it. Some people come for a few months to work on a specific issue, while others stay longer as part of their ongoing growth and care.
We’ll talk together about your goals and check in regularly to make sure the pace and direction feel right for you.
Do you take insurance?
I don’t bill insurance directly, but I’m happy to provide a detailed invoice you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Many clients are able to get some of their costs covered this way, though it depends on your specific plan.
How do I know if I need therapy?
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.
If you’ve noticed that you’re stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break, feeling disconnected from yourself or the people you care about, or just running on empty emotionally—therapy can help. It’s a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and find a healthier way forward.
What theories or modalities to use?
My approach is person-centered, emotionally focused, and narrative-based—which means I believe change happens through connection, honesty, and knowing our own story.
